Sasha R. Cohen multi-hyphenate with expertise in producing, writing, publicity, marketing, and artist management. She is a current Gallatin senior concentrating in Producing, Promotion, & Media Management and earning a minr in Business of Entertainment, Media, & Technology. Returning to Tisch New Theatre for a third season, Sasha is excited to continue to challenge the organization and provide educational theatre experiences to the NYU student body. Abri Berg, Vice President - Tisch

Abri Berg (she/her) is an NYC-based director and designer from Chicago, IL. She is currently receiving her artistic training at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School at NYU Tisch. Abri is also double majoring in American Studies. She is committed to making the theater industry more inclusive and accessible through her creative work and practices. Recent credits include: Amélie (Theatre Row, Associate Director), untitled waifu play (Ars Nova ANT Fest, Sound Design), The Idealist (New York Theatre Festival, Sound Design), and Pending Connections (Playwrights Horizons Downtown, Sound Design). abriannaberg.com 

Tong Zhao, Treasurer - Tisch & Stern

Tong Zhao (she/her) is in the Class of 2024 pursuing dual degrees at NYU: a B.S. in Business at Stern and a B.F.A. in Film & TV at Tisch with a minor in Producing. Her previous involvements at Tisch New Theatre are Amélieas the General Manager and Offstage as the Associate General Manager. Her past works: When I Wake Up (short film; Director, Producer, Editor, Writer); Scrambled Eggs (short film; Producer); Dear Evan Hansen (NYU Shanghai not-for-profit production; Producer, Cast). Gillian Garcia, Secretary - Tisch

Gillian Garcia (she/her) is a senior at Tisch School of the Arts who began her training at the Experimental Theater Wing and is now entering her second semester at The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute after spending one semester at Stonestreet Studios. She is also working on two minors, the first in Business, Entertainment, Media, and Technology, and the second in Producing. She is thrilled to be on the board of Tisch New Theatre after being on the team since her sophomore year! She believes in the power of storytelling and the magic TNT is able to create on stage.

Ziyne Abdo, Director of Diversity - Tisch

Ziyne Abdo, originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a junior at Tisch studying Film & Television Production as well as a second major in Journalism and a minor in Global and Urban Education Studies. She worked as an intern with Inside Edition Digital over the summer where she centered her reporting on telling Black stories and elevating Black voices. In her commitment to serving her community, Ziyne is the co-sponsorship chair for NYU’s Organization of Black Women and the Vice President of Filmmakers of Color in Unity and Support. She is excited to be the first to serve as the Director of Diversity for TNT and work towards having diverse representation within the organization.

Julia Moser, Director of Marketing - Steinhardt

Julia is a sophomore studying Media, Culture, and Communication at NYU Steinhardt. She made her TNT debut as Marketing Assistant for Legally Blonde. Outside of TNT, she writes for Views From NYU and serves as a MCC Peer Mentor. She is thrilled to be continuing her time at Tisch New Theatre as the new Marketing Director.

Delaney Teehan, Literary Manager - Tisch

Delaney Teehan is a sophomore in Tisch Drama’s Production and Design Studio with a concentration in Stage Management. She is also completing a dual major in English Literature through the College of Arts and Sciences. Previously in Tisch New Theatre, she served as the Technical Director for Legally Blonde (Fall, 2019). Other credits include: Promenade (Tisch Drama Stage, Assistant Stage Manager), 12 Angry Animals (Tisch Drama Stage, Assistant Stage Manager), God’s Ear (Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, Scenic Designer), Mamma Mia! (Laguna Playhouse, Assistant Stage Manager), and Julius Caesar (Playwrights Horizons Theatre School, Assistant Stage Manager).

Chloe Geller, Board Member - Steinhardt

Chloe Geller is a junior studying Music Composition in Steinhardt with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. TNT Credits: Next to Normal (MD, SoHo Playhouse), Legally Blonde (Co-MD) and ONWARD (AMD, Co-Arranger). NYC/Select NYU Credits: Second Line (Carner and Gregor) (Associate Music Supervisor, Pace New Musicals), Head and Heart (MD, NYMF) and [title of show] (MD, NYU PHTS). Summer 2018: Music Direction Intern at Pittsburgh CLO. Goodspeed Music Direction Intensive Class of 2019. She is thrilled to be a part of Tisch New Theatre!

Alicia Cabrera, Board Member - Tisch

Alicia is a junior in Tisch Drama's Production & Design Studio studying Stage Management & Scenic Design with a minor in Digital Art and Design. Tisch: 12 Angry Animals, The Late Wedding (Tisch Drama Stage), Love in the NIghtingale (Student Works), Julius Caesar (Playwrights Horizon Studio). Alicia has been a production assistant for 8 years and has worked in numerous television shows and live events such as Premios Soberano, Festival Presidente & Aniversario Telemicro. She has recently become a co-producer for the same company and helped develop Imaginativa, a five-day event that unites the most important television channels of the Dominican Republic under one roof, allowing for people to witness how television is made.

Giulia Marolda, Board Member - Tisch

Giulia is a junior in NYU Tisch Drama’s New Studio on Broadway with a double major in English. She made her TNT and NYU debut in Legally Blonde (Elle) and is the president of the NYU N’Harmonics, the 2019 ICCA Champions. Giulia is forever grateful for her Tisch New Theater family.

Adam Olkin, Board Member - Tisch

Adam is a junior studying Film and Television at Tisch. He debuted with TNT as a member of the audio team on their production of Next to Normal, and is now sound designer for their production of Legally Blonde. Freshman year he was fortunate enough to be the videographer and associate sound designer for Playwright's Horizons production of Caesar. Prior to NYU Adam spent four years leading the technical team at his high school. He is thrilled and excited to continue working with Tisch New Theatre.

Garrett Higgins, Board Member - Gallatin

Garrett is a sophomore at NYU Gallatin. He is concentrating on Accounting and Economics. Garrett loves theatre and music and has been in numerous shows including Tisch New Theatre’s Legally Blonde. He is a board member of the National Residence Hall Honorary Torch Chapter. Garrett is excited to be a part of the board of Tisch New Theatre working on fundraising and development for the organization.

Daniel C. Soule, Faculty Advisor

Mr. Soule is an Assistant Arts Professor and Head of Scenic Design Training in the Department of Drama’s Production and Design Studio. Recent designs include An Iliad (Long Wharf), Macbeth In Stride (UTR), and For All the Women Who Thought They Went Mad (Soho Rep). Daniel has worked internationally as Design Associate for Jan Versweyveld (Camp: Notes on Fashion, David Bowie's Lazarus) and Es Devlin (Jimmy Fallon, Katy Perry), among others, and has been involved with numerous Broadway productions, including The Crucible and Harry Potter & The Cursed Child. He holds an MFA from NYU's Tisch Department of Design and a BA from Dartmouth College.

Emerson Steele, Board Member - Gallatin

Emerson Steele is proud to be a TNT Board Member after playing Vivienne in TNT’s Legally Blonde. She is a winner of the prestigious Theatre World Award for her Broadway Debut as Young Violet in Violet. She played Mary Phagan in Parade at Lincoln Center under Jason Robert Brown’s musical direction, and the title role in Mary Marie at NAMT. Emerson has appeared at Feinstein's/54 Below numerous times, including in her own solo show. Regional credits include: Hair, Hairspray, A Little Princess, A Christmas Carol, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof, Fat Kid Rules The World, and Gypsy.

Charlie Saslow, Board Member - Tisch

Charlie is a junior studying stage management in Tisch Drama's Production and Design Studio. He has previously worked with TNT as the Production Stage Manager for ONWARD. Other credits include Tisch Drama's Festival of Voices (ASM). Charlie is excited to be back with Tisch New Theatre this fall.

Rubén Polendo, Faculty Mentor

Mr. Polendo is a theater director and the founder and artistic director of the permanent group of collaborators, Theater Mitu. Polendo has an MFA in directing from the UCLA School of Theater, an M.A. in non-Western theater from Lancaster University in the U.K., and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Trinity University in Texas. Currently he is Chair of Undergraduate Drama at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Based in New York City, he continues to create, develop and present work in the US and Internationally.
